The Maiden Heist is a comedy film directed by Peter Hewitt and starring Morgan Freeman, Christopher Walken, William H. Macy, and Marcia Gay Harden.
It was produced under the working title The Lonely Maiden and is currently in post-production, and had a tentative release date of May 29, 2009 before being shelved following the bankruptcy of its distributor, Yari Film Group.
It was shot primarily in Boston, MA, and several scenes were filmed at the Worcester Art Museum, in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Plot
A comedy centered on three museum security guards (Morgan Freeman, Christopher Walken and William H. Macy) who devise a plan to steal back the artworks to which they have become attached after they are transferred to another museum.
